Weather was terrible! 40's, wind at 15 MPH gusts, water was 60, rain sleet all day. The river was running 1660 cfs so most of the waves were washed out. Eddi's were big and water was fast. We had 2 new students. Mel Holmberg assisted me so we ended one-on-one with the students. We spent most of the time at the bottom learning to ferry and peel-out and eddi turns. At 12:30 we took a break for some food and warmth. The weather continued to get worse after lunch. We did a couple of boomer runs and called it a day.
Tough environment for first timers but everyone stayed warm and had good attitudes.
